6:50AM-WED: SUNRISE ALERT (POST PICS BELOW)… WARMER THAN AVERAGE TEMPS OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS LOOKING PROBABLE… WITH A BIG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WE’RE ALSO LOOKING PRETTY UN-SOGGIBLE (DRY)… THESE KINDS OF FAIR WEATHER CONDITIONS CAN BE DEEMED TO BE RATHER UN-SOBBIBLE (NO MORE EYE OR SKY TEARS)…. IN OTHER *ACTUAL* WORDS, OVERALL, WE’VE GOT SOME NICE WEATHER AHEAD…
Good morning folks, with our storm system finally suppressed south and away from us, high pressure is building into the region for the end of the work week, and overall, an upper level ridge will be flexing over the center and eastern part of the U.S. into next week, as an upper level trough digs into the western U.S. and brings a Rocky Mountain snowstorm by the middle of next week.
We’ll jump into all or our weather details below, but first let’s get a word from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo

DISCUSSION:
Inclement weather has been shunted southward as higher pressures track inbound to the WMass region. Any patchy fog this morning will burn off and reveal a partly sunny day on average, with more clouds this morning, breaking up from north to south, leading to brightening and periods of sunshine as the day wears on.
Highs will reach the mid to upper 60s for many of us, though a few will hang in the low 60s up in southern VT, and a few spots in northern CT and the Springfield area might crest the 70º mark with light northwest winds.
Lows will bottom out tonight either side of 50º with patchy fog late.
For Thursday and Friday, we’ve got a pair of beautiful early October days with highs in the low to mid 70s under mostly sunny skies, and lows in the low 50s, so we have that to look forward to.
As we push into the weekend, a surface area of high pressure will be tracking into Atlantic Canada and will force a more northeasterly flow into southern New England which will be led by a backdoor cold front that drops northeast to southwest into and likely through the WMass region.
This will produce more cloudiness this weekend for us, and while some peeks of sunshine are expected at this point, clouds will dominate our skies and it will be cooler, with highs in the low to mid 60s and lows near 50º.
Sunday could see a few showers, but as of now, it looks like any coastal storms to our south will be suppressed down and away given the clockwise flow around high pressure to our northeast.
Early to mid next week looks partly sunny to mostly cloudy for now, but fair, with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s, so not too tough to take.
Have a great day, and I hope things go your way!
