Good morning folks, the severe storms mostly stayed north of Route 2 yesterday into VT, NH and ME, with strong to just run of the mill storms in much of the WMass/CMass region, and some in CT during the pre-dawn hours.

Our front has cleared to the south and east, and final showers are ending this morning.

We’ll jump into the details below, but first let’s get a word from our local and delicious sponsor #Yum.

SYNOPSIS:
–Our cold front has passed south and east of the WMass region
–Final showers behind the front are exiting the region through mid-morning
–This front will stall and weaken around the south coast of New England
–Given this, we’ll see a mostly cloudy and relatively humid day with a few isolated showers, and highs in the low 70s
–Tonight we’ll see moisture from a storm system off of the east coast slated to track north towards New England, but then curve northeast and away out to sea
–A few additional showers are expected overnight, with some drizzle patches possible, and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s
–Humidity continues tomorrow as a weak tropical or hybrid system draws closer
–While a few showers or even a thunderstorm is possible, we should again just be dealing with a mostly cloudy day and highs in the low to mid 70s
–Mostly cloudy skies continue at night with a spot shower but mostly dry conditions, and lows near 60º
–Saturday is our transition day to fair weather, as our coastal weak tropical system tracks northeast and away from the region
–As such, an isolated morning shower is possible with partly sunny skies developing and highs reaching the mid to upper 70s
–Saturday night will be even drier under partly cloudy skies and lows either side of 60º
–High pressure (see attached chart with big red blob indicating high pressure) firmly builds into the region on Sunday, and the Sunday through Wednesday period looks like a beautiful final Summer stretch
–Expect mostly sunny skies, highs in the low to mid 70s on Sunday, and then the 75-80º range for Monday through Wednesday with fairy humid conditions, but nothing crazy
–Lows will generally be in the mid to upper 50s
–Some showers and thunderstorms will be possible by late week with another frontal passage, but starting today, we’re moving into improvements in the weather department!!!

Have a great day!
