Good morning everybody, the atmosphere is blocked up, and while the southern Mid-Atlantic down into the Carolinas gets a cool, soaking rainfall, we get an increasingly-warm and muggy air mass that will build and strengthen over New England.
It’s a cool start this morning, though not as cold as yesterday morning when some folks
SUMMAH-RY
–Clouds over CMass and other area dissipate, leading to mostly sunny skies, light northeast wind and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s (the last noticeably cooler-than-average day for the foreseeable future)
–Lows tonight will be cold, dipping into the mid to upper 40s, which is amazing for mid June!
–Tuesday, high pressure starts to slowly drift south and east, and turning the wind
–Highs will reach 75-80º under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s
–Wednesday we’re mostly sunny with light wind and highs in the low to mid 80s with lows in the 50s
–Thursday the southerly flow begins and humidity starts coming up, with dew points cresting 60 degrees by end of day
–Highs will reach the 85-90º range under mostly sunny skies, and lows will be near 60º
–Friday through Sunday look hot and humid, with highs in the mid 80s to low 90s across the region, muggy conditions, and mostly sunny skies until we reach Sunday afternoon
–By that time, instability and moisture will be growing in the region, and we could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms
